We believe in one God who is Father to all who believe. Love and Compassion guide us in the mission to assist those in need.

We try to follow the Savior’s example in helping the poor, afflicted, oppressed and marginalized, especially children.

There are approximately 80,000 orphans in Romania. 80% of them are Gypsy. ProVision has set up ministries to serve the orphans, but also has the understanding that since such a large percent of orphans are Gypsy, it is imperative to meet the needs at the root of the problem – in the villages themselves.

Statistics show that 78% of children whose parents are not educated are living in poverty, as opposed to only 2% of children with parents who have high levels of education.

Non formal education

At the moment, our organisation has weekly activities within the community, with a focus on different educational themes which promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle, like: self respect, relationships management, abilities development for a self sustained lifestyle, moral and ethical education, character development.

Besides educational activities, children also take part in socializing activities, expressed through games, sports competitions, celebration of christian and national holidays.

After school program

In 2 schools, we assist children with their homework. The focus is to offer support for classes where children have not yet obtained the necessary knowledge and skills required for their level.

In a 3rd school, we work with 8th graders who are preparing to pass their final exam, and start their highschool education.

School abandonment prevention

We encourage families to send their children to school. In 2 of the schools we work with, we offer children a warm meal.

Young adults
orphans & residential program

The purpose of this program is to offer training/support for young adults who are no longer in the state foster care system. Many of them are trying to build their own families now and find their way in life. We help them start this journey well and offer our support until they can manage on their own.

Through this program, we provide medical and dental care, support for social integration and career advice.

CONCERN and care for
poor families

There are many poor families in Mures County who are living in difficult situations. Some of the parents come from orphanages and are trying to raise their own families now. We offer support and we meet with them on a weekly basis.

We believe that children belong with their families so we work towards preventing child abandonment.

Counseling and education for
Night shelter children

We offer an education and counseling program on a weekly basis for almost 40 children that are living with their families in the Night Shelter. This program is mainly focused on teenagers who come from a poor family background, due to poverty, health issues, lack of education and housing.

Some of the topics we discuss in our meetings: human traffic prevention, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, substance abuse, developing a christian character.
